This page describes my teaching experience.

I have five years of experience as a teaching assistant across a wide range of courses. I have received training in teaching pedagogy and have experience as the Instructor of Record for an undergraduate course. More details on my teaching experience are provided below.

Courses as the Instructor of Record

EXNS 3111W: Exercise and Nutrition Science Research Methods

  • Research Methods is an upper-division, writing-intensive course for students in the Nutrition or Exercise Science programs. In this course, students write a research proposal, which is used as the scaffolding to teach them about study designs and the research process. At the end of the semester, they also present their proposal as a research poster.
  • In Spring 2025, I taught a class of 25 undergraduate students. As the instructor, I implemented rubrics to standardize grading and added pre-class quizzes to incentivize distributed learning across the week. I also added end-of-class exit ticket activities, which promoted meta-cognition and gave me the opportunity to check in on students in a larger course.
