Welcome! I’m Nick Foreman, a PhD student at George Washington University in Washington, DC. My research interests center around understanding how exercise can mitigate or prevent chronic diseases. Current studies include research on exercise interventions for cholesterol and glucose metabolism.

Prior to moving to DC, I spent most of my life in Minnesota. I have a Masters degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. There, my research focused on endurance performance and exercise testing. My thesis examined the effect of exercise domains on heart rate variability (HRV) and endurance performance.

Outside of research, I love to run! I train with the NOVA running club in Northern Virginia, focusing mostly on 5K/10K races. I live in Washington, DC with my partner Emily and our two gray cats.
